Indonesiaku Rumahku



I think this is the best TV commercial Indo had ever produced so far.impressive cinematography! I still remember how my eyes glued on the TV and i'll sit for hours just to wait for this ad to be showed again. (i was on holiday at that time)

It is from a cigarette company called ''Gudang Garam'' and wishing the TV viewers Happy New year. They guy with long hair is a famous choreographer from Bali. The graphics and images they used are nice! especially the scenery and props. It shows the other side of Indonesia which we don't normally see or rather hidden.
i word.... BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

besides from the excellence performance from the actors, (Lou Pucci, Tilda Swinton and Keanu Reeves) this movie has a very interesting storyline. It deals with self development and beliefs.
It sucks when we have to change ourselves when there is nothing wrong with us. I love the tag line of this movie, ''He's not o.k. They are not o.k. and that's OK.''

This is the double spread of d magazine. I have to do some more adjustments on the types and the pictures again. Hallelujahs.... =.='' the cost for printing is draining my monthly allowance.
barely get enough sleep these days. The lecturer sure is demanding. We have to do 1 featured article for d next lesson. gah...

i love to use minimum colors and leave out a lot of white spaces. i kinda like the masthead though. (it took me a hell of a time redesigning and choosing the right font)

Hello 2007!

I'm back from holiday!!! (switched off eat sleep eat sleep mode)
Holiday is fun, but there are a lot of things going on in Indonesia. Catastrophes to be exact.
First, floods (which affected my area there in Sumatra) and then the ship wreck (hundreds of people dead), the plane crash (still missing), the mud spread and the earthquake . Although keeps on making headlines, I LOVE my country!!! =D

Melissa, i kept my promise, here is some snap shots from Pekanbanbaru, Indonesia.

The city of Pekanbaru, where the foods are fabulous and diet is impossible. I was at a nearby coffee shop with my dad.

I'm really grateful for our condition now, thank God the flood didn't reach my house and things are going fine. Hrm... lets crack head and think of ways to help flood victims. (I'm serious!)

Chinese opera always fascinated me. I love their colorful costumes,detailed make ups and props. Especially the masks. Superb! this is a simple sketch done with illustrator.. i know.. lack of details.. but again, I'm a lazy bum =P

Typography packaging design

Finally!!!! after redoing and redoing and redoing and redoing (no kidding!!!)... my packaging design mock up for typography final project is done!
its the 250 ml and 1 litre
its kinda complicated the whole process because we have to think about the masthead, target market, layout, launch ad and concept. Then we had to draw massive amount of thumbnails to be approved by the lecturer. Sigh... but in the end i'm quite happy because i got ''Ok ok'' grade... i mean i manage to pass. phew.....

This situation might be the worst nightmare for every shoes.

I still remember last time when i was still in grade school,i accidentally stepped on dog-poop...
Being oblivious, i attend the class not knowing that theres a dog-poop on my shoe. Eventually the smell contaminated the whole class...
